Rainbow Scrap Challenge: Slow Moving

Whew!  I'm tired, folks.  I did finish six more stars, so there are only two left.  I managed to cut out the sashing, and there are six new Bits and Bobs, but when it came to the last day to sew the stars, I was just too tired.
Next month, I suppose, as I want this quilt finished.  There are too many (Tell it to the Stars, Odd Fellow, and Bits and Bobs, to name a few) hanging out unfinished.

I totally get it--I am in a "Quilter's Block" at the moment. I've pushed my machine aside for a bit and am just reading.....I call it a brain drain...after 4 pretty good-size quilts in one year, I am done for a bit...
I think your piece is just lovely--I can see the block is complicated and must be very time consuming and tricky....but it is beautiful. Hugs, Julierose

I think we do need a vacation from the sewing room just like anyone working at a job outside the house needs a vacation. We do deserve these vacations. There's no shame. Allow yourself this break, go on a fabric diet for a few days; it will rejuvenate you. Your stars are wonderful and all those projects you mentioned will still be there waiting for you when you come back from you fabric-vacation! Enjoy! ;^)

Wow, beautiful stars. I've been off line so I'm way behind on what you've been up too. Hopefully I'll catch up some this weekend.

Give yourself a break, Katie. You're busy with that "construction work" and it takes a LOT of energy!! Besides that, the UFOs will still be there waiting once you are ready to make further headway on your projects.

Sometimes stepping away for awhile is just what we need to recharge our creative juices. Your blocks are lovely, and we are not in any kind of race to the finish. Enjoy the process, and the occasional rest from it too!

Stand back, take a deep breath, and enjoy looking at those beautiful blocks!

You have your hands full with kids, house and garden. Fabric is patient... and will wait until you are able and have energy (I remember well the energy drain while pregnant). Enjoy the kids... they do grow up so fast. Your blocks are beautiful.

That's my favorite star. Are you setting it straight or on point? It looks entirely different on point. I like your patriotic colors.
