Rainbow Scrap Challenge: Cinnamon and Nutmeg

This week, I finished four Bits and Bobs blocks and many more tiny nine patches in blue since I've exhausted the browns.

My applique, while straying from the brown, is progressing nicely.  I've surpassed my goal, which is good as planting season is nearly upon us!

I've worked up enough parts for 12.5 more blocks, but they remain in the "parts" stage, so my blocks look about the same for Odd Fellows.

I was surprised how few people liked brown this month.  I was looking forward to brown, and I'm eager to see my quilt progress!

I learned last year what a surprising punch brown adds to rainbow quilts, and was more than happy to work with it this month! I love your blocks, Katie, and am so impressed by all those cute appliqué blocks! Happy Spring, dear one!

While I haven't sewn as much BROWN as I might have, I believe that ALL the colors should have a chance to make it into our quilts. Your BROWN Bits and Bobs and Odd Fellows are turning out GREAT!!

I like brown, too, though I'll admit I appreciate it more since I've been playing in the RSC. (One of the nicest things about RSC is that we're encouraged to use colors that we might not normally use!)
I love your Odd Fellows, and I'm always happy to look at your Bits and Bobs. Your applique looks a fun project!

I'm amazed at how much brown I still have in my scraps and stash. Your Odd Fellows quilt looks lovely. Nice applique blocks. Are they machine or hand stitched?

A lot of quilters I know love to work with browns. It's not something I have a lot of in my stash...but neither is purple.
I maybe take the easy way out and use the color challenge each month to work on 4 patches with the thousands of 2 1/4 inch squares that were given to me as well as the thousands of hexagon shapes that were given to me. Both are endless projects that eventually will be made into something big....hopefully.

Stash Report Week #16 and 15 Minutes
