Rainbow Scrap Challenge: Distractions

Whew, it's a busy week!  We've had 26 chicks hatch, garlic weeded, tomatoes moved outside to harden off, lots of paint purchased (I'm kinda tired of the writing on the wall), 100+ meat chicks to feed, water, and move, and DH has had acres and acres of mowing to do.  Somehow that list just doesn't seem long enough for all the time farming took this week.

In my free time, when I can't sleep because the kids are awake, I've been stitching triangles to triangles and squares!   36 blocks done, 52 to go.

from the room of Zana's Ninis,

Beautiful blocks. The rogue blue made me laugh. Will there be other interrupters?

Those great blocks will give you a beautiful quilt in the end. 52 more blocks, a piece of cake?!?

Busy week and still time to sew a few blocks. I agree; that rogue block in blue is such a nice surprise.

So pretty! I like the blue block, too! It's always nice to have something up on the design wall that you can stitch on a little at a time.

Little by little, great things grow. I love your quilt! It's going to be absolutely gorgeous, especially with the occasional surprise block!
I miss the peeping of chicks. I used to raise chickens, for meat and eggs both, and enjoyed watching them go about their chickeny business.

Beautiful blocks! Love the lone blue blocks in there. Now that I'm old, I don't miss living on a chicken farm. Toooo much work.

looks great - and the blue is interesting; keeps your eye moving. all our work hit this week, too. 3" of snow last week, and now so much to do all at once. but that's what makes it spring, right?
