Fall into Fall Giveaway!

This giveaway is closed!
The winner is dawson.tracy35!

Congratulations!  Please email me with your snail mail address by the end of the weekend!

Beginning today, October 1, I am participating in a massive celebration-of-fall-giveaway, hosted by Debi of Quilting with Debi.  Check out the other participants (we're hoping there are 200 of us!) at the Fall into Fall Giveaway blog.

My giveaway includes (but is not limited to... there is a shop hop in the area this weekend.  Who knows what I'll pick up?!) the Fons & Porter triangle trimmers (out of the package but in good condition), music fabric in various colors (some fat quarters, some slightly smaller pieces... I bought a bag of them at a garage sale, but can only use some of them), other fun fabric, and a spool of shiny green thread from Sulky.  I'm also including a CD from the Electric Quilt Company called Quilting Designs volume 5.  This has been opened, but since I don't have a PC any more, only a Mac, I can't use it!  I loved browsing it for ideas, but someone else should be able to use it.  Last but not least, a book called Template-Free Stars by Jo Parrott.  In the meantime, let's see what surprises I can find for the lucky winner.

Rules for entering:
1. Leave a comment.  You'll have to do a little work to leave a comment that counts.  In this comment, I need you to tell me, after paging back through my blog, if there is a quilt that caught your eye.  Now, I haven't finished a quilt since July, I think, so you will have to look back a bit.  In the label cloud, clicking on "finished quilt" will lead you to the posts that have finished quilt pictures!

2. I must be able to contact you via email.  If you are set to "no-reply" and don't leave a means of contact, email or blog.  If I can't reach you by email, you can't win.  (That means I won't track down your blog and leave a message for you.)  You don't have to have a blog, and you can live anywhere in the world.  I will attempt to email you back to let you know you are entered, but I am a mother of three under four.  I will not make my kids cry by spending hours on responding to emails.

3. Double your chances.  If you post about my giveaway and let me know, I'll throw your name in the pot a second time.

4. Enter before October 15.  Entries will be taken until approximately 12 pm on October 15, when I take the Assistant (my daughter) to school.  The drawing will take place at 3:30 p.m, when she comes home.  I will give the winner 48 hours to contact me, after which point I will draw a new name.

Questions?  Leave them here or email me via my email on the "about me" page.

from the room of Zana's Ninis,
katie z.

I like your take on the pioneer braid. I'm actually working on one right now and almost finished. Also I like the idea of a giveaway where some of the contents are a complete unknown. Thanks for the chance to win.

I enjoyed the stroll through your quilts. I like Judy's Quilt which has a fun feel to it. And I like Pioneer Braid, beautifully made and wonderful fabric choices. It looks luminous. Thanks very much for your fun giveaway.

You need to post more photos. The only photo that made me slow down (from Oct 1 to Jan 1) was the braid. Sorry...I read blogs the same way I do National Geographic...photos first then the text if it's interesting.

I love the quilt you finished April 2.
The blue and purple lap quilt for your friend is gorgeous. Love those colors together.
P.S.-I did work hard cause I think senility is setting in and I had to go back and check the date twice.

Your August 8th 2010 post, the triangle quilt. WOW, lots of time spent on that. The way I read it, they were leftovers from a Bonnie Hunter quilt? Didn't see that one but sure like the "leftovers" Great giveaway, thanks for sharing.

I was torn between your adaptation of Judy's stars from June 3, 2009, and Bonnie's Star Struck from April 5, 2009. You do beautiful work, and as a mom of 4, I know how hard it is to find time to do some thing you evidently love.

I love the baby quilt with all the blues. I think the lighter blue in the center is better than having the dark color there. Especially for a baby.

I can't decide between the braid quilt and the red twin size one. Probably the braid one. It took alot of brain work to coordinate the color pattern. If I am lucky enough to win you can reach me at vseverin62@gmail.com.

Thearica said...

I am like you, I don't really like to make quilts with tons of triangles like the green and white quilt you made for your SIL in March! ugghh.. But I found a way to make it a little easier so I cut a square out of both fabrics...cut them 1 inch larger than the intended finished HST block....draw a line diagonally from one corner to the other...sew a scant 1/4 inch on both sides of the line...cut them apart, you will have 2 blocks...then trim them down to the size needed....When I construct the actual block I use a true 1/4 inch seam so it gives you ample room not to cut off your points when you finish sewing the whole block.

But I still do not care to sew them. They are too big of a hassel!

But I love how you used the left over blocks on the back! Cool indeed!

Needled Mom said...

I really like that brights baby quilt that has a bento box look to it. I like how you used the same color, but different shades to get the effect.

I love this quilt http://zanasninis.blogspot.com/2010/06/stash-report-week-23.html
Think those tiny squares are so cute and love how the colors go together. Another one caught my eye though:
http://zanasninis.blogspot.com/2009/04/t-shirt-quilt.html
Really something different! Did you sew the t-shirt bits just together or attach them to another piece of fabric first? I would really like to make a t-shirt quilt one day from the clothes of my kids ... but am unsure as the fabric is so stretchy how to go about it ... I have heard that some people sew it to non-stretchy fabric first ...
Thanks for the giveaway. And if you want to come by my blog and enter my
giveaways ... you could win
some custom-made buttons ... or a teacozy ...
Have a lovely week!

It was fun to search through your pictures of finished quilts to find the one I liked the best. I thought it was the Unbaby Quilt of blue and gold stars on cream (fantastic hand quilting), but then I saw the charity quilt with the rainbow of colors that you posted on your March 10, '09 entry, Finishes. That's my pick!

Thanks for your giveaway. I'm a musician and would LOVE to win those music fabrics.
